 I am essentially a self taught photographer. I have been pursuing my passion for nature photography for most of my life, approximately 25 years ago I began to combine my love of nature with photography.

Highlights of my outdoor photography career include serving as official photographer for the Jason Project (an educational research effort founded by Dr Robert Ballard, discoverer of the Titanic ) While working as Dr Ballard's photographer we travelled to remote places around the globe. This provided great photo opportunities and incredible life experiences. many sponsors of the Jason Project have used my photographs including National Geographic, Kodak and EDS. Other credits include The Best of Nature (Amherst Media 2002) National Audubon Calenders (including 2 covers) Outdoor Life, Birders World, Time magazine,The Orvis Company, Massachusetts Audubon Society and White Flower Farm.

My work has been exhibited in galleries throughout New England for more than 20 years. Additionally my fine art photographs are held in private collections across the USA. Including a group of prints commissioned by the University of Connecticut for permanent installation. My Photograph "Flicker in Flight" was awarded first place by the Robert Floyd Gallery in the Massachusetts Wildlife Exhibition. Additional awards include Best in show and Peoples Choice at the Massachusetts Audubon society Broadmoor Art Show.

I have a simple philosophy about my work:Create images that evoke emotion surrounding the beauty of nature and go beyond simple historical documentation. I want my photographs to stir something in the viewer and allow them to see the fragile beauty of our planet in a new light.

When I am not in the field looking for new images, I am behind the camera in the high paced atmosphere of Fashion and Advertising photography. I have had the pleasure of working for many top flight clients including Brooks Brothers, Jones of New York, Blugirlart,Carolee, Adrienne Vittadini, Jos A Bank, Macy's and many more.
