Blugirlart - Supporting Friends of Boston Homeless at their Gala event, April 16 2009
PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 20, 2009 – Blugirlart and numerous other donors joined Friends of Boston's Homeless on April 16th for a Gala event and silent auction . The evening raised approximately $200,000.00 to support friends programs to assist Boston's homeless men, women and their children move beyond shelter to lead independent productive lives.
The event was held on the 33rd floor of 60 State Street with magnificent views of Boston harbor in the background.
Guests were treated to the gourmet delights of 30 of Boston and surrounding area finest restaurants and their chefs.
Meyer - Pistorius donated 3 hand painted original silk cushions that were designed exclusively for the event. " I wanted to create something very special for this occasion to add care and thought to the donation. I believe giving from the heart adds depth to the gesture.
I hope my donations will be enjoyed by their new owner as I much as I delighted in their creation"
Adding charitable causes has become an integral part of the Blugirlart. Inc philosophy as supporting charitable causes is to Meyer - Pistorius in her personal capacity. New requests are being received and considered.
